Addition and subtraction, if you got the nerve, from left to right, first come first serve. Parentheses first: two times four, the product’s eight; are you ready for more? Exponents next: two squared is four; let’s move down like we did before. Time to divide or multiply; let’s see what we got; take a look at the signs. Divide the eight by the two, the quotient’s four, and we’re almost through. It’s finally time to add or subtract, eight’s the answer, and that’s a fact. Parentheses first, exponents next, multiplication and division in the same step. Addition and subtraction, if you got the nerve, from left to right, first come first serve Parentheses first: two times six, the product’s twelve; put it back in the mix. Exponents next: three squared is nine; when you know the tricks, it don’t take much time. Now we divide or multiply; let’s see what we’ve got, take a look at the signs. Nine divided by nine is one, the answer’s close, and we’re almost done. Four minus one has a difference of three, when we add the twelve, we get fifteen! This time-lapse video shows a Scania R 730 Streamline being built from the ground up and subsequently delivered to the customer in Germany. Scania trucks are built using a modular product system. This allows Scania to build nearly any type of truck from a limited number of building blocks. The system ensures customers get exactly the right vehicle for their transport needs. It also means they have access to parts, as well as fast, reliable service, no matter where they are in the world. As soon as a truck is ordered, a number of processes begin. At Scania's various production units, work begins on the axles, cab, engine, frame and gearbox. Once these components are completed they are delivered to the chassis assembly line closest to the vehicle's final destination. Scania chassis assembly lines are located in Södertälje in Sweden, Angers in France, São Bernardo do Campo in Brazil and in Zwolle in the Netherlands. This video, shot on location in Zwolle, shows the assembly of a R 730 V8 truck. The process typically takes seven hours and involves some 500 people located at 65 stations along the assembly line. Once a truck leaves the assembly line, the process of adding any extras items -- for example, options requested by the customer -- can begin. This can take anything from a couple of hours to several days. It generally takes only eight weeks from the time a truck is ordered to the time the completed vehicle is delivered to the customer.

As a technology-focused company, we have to imagine tomorrow’s world. To prepare the future, our teams are working hard on a visionary project. The excellent plant – the future’s plant The pace of technological change has picked up in recent decades. In an ultra-connected world, consumers expect instant customized solutions. We prepared the plant to the Future to satisfy and anticipate our customer’s needs. Every time in order is placed, the vehicle production process is triggered in real-time. The date and sequence of production are planned to the control center. The customer receives a provisional delivery date notification for the vehicle. The parts are automatically ordered from suppliers and the delivery schedule to fit the delivery due date. The transport and storage processes for parts are fully automated streamlined and flexible. Let’s take a look at the plant of the future The workspaces are an open plan, heavy physical tasks performed by robots and quality control is carried out automatically and approved by the operators. In the body and white workshop, a comprehensive check the geometry of parts is done using laser pointing. The ultra-connected plan to the future is paperless. All information is stored, analyzed and exchanged in real time. If even the slightest defect is detected, corrective information is automatically sent to the robot concern whether in the plan or at the suppliers. In the paint shop, the printing system integrates customized solutions into the production process. In kitting area, operators and robots make up the assembly kit based on the customer’s order. This process known as full kitting has been rolled out across our workshops to guarantee flexibility. The kits then matched up with the vehicle on the production line. To ensure assembly go smoothly, the main production line handles operations common to all vehicles and specifications on diversity are handled through parts collected in sub-assemblies prepared on feeder lines. Augmented reality programs allow continual training for the operators increasing their versatility. On the production line, real-time interaction between the plant and the design team facilitates the production of new models. None of our robots, either at the body and white or assembly stage, are fixed to the ground so we can move around freely. The plant of the future is about combining technology human skills to optimize flexibility. Coming back to our customer. The order is ready to go. The customer can come and pick the car up either at a dealership on a local vehicle park or directly from the plant where we take pleasure in presenting the new vehicle. The future’s plant starts today.

McDonald's Disasters! The popular fast-food chain McDonald's is famous for it's incidents. Let's take a look at some campaigns & incidents that went terribly wrong. Support our Patreon today: https://www.patreon.com/theywillkillyou Subscribe for new videos: http://goo.gl/SaufF4 Follow us on Instagram: @theywillkillyou Voiceover by Carl Mason: [email protected] 13 McPizza and McSpaghetti In the 1980s McDonald’s tried introducing well-loved elements of Italian cuisine into its menus. The endeavor never caught on with customers for a number of reasons. The McPizza a made-to-order pizza took too long to make and basically resembled a Hot Pocket without the appeal and the McSpaghetti, lasagna or fettucine Alfredo simply didn’t match the products that competing restaurants had to offer. In the end, these products simply weren’t in tune with the McDonald’s brand, most famous for its burgers and fries. 12 Super-Size In 1993, McDonald’s got on the super-size trend giving fast-food lovers the chance to purchase larger meals. Then in 2004, the documentary ‘Super-Size Me’, by independent filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, came out. Spurlock ate only McDonald’s for a month and documented the impact it had on his body. 11 Arch Deluxe In 1996, with the Arch Deluxe, McDonald’s tried to appeal to more grown-up tastes. This product was essentially a Quarter Pounder with cheese, peppered bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, a secret sauce and a different bun. The Arch Deluxe was way more expensive than other McDonald’s menu items and was meant to kick off a new line of adult-themed products. First-year sales projections were placed at close to $1 billion.$100 million was invested in a bizarre ad campaign showing children being disgusted with the Arch Deluxe and Ronald McDonald playing adult sports. 10 McAfrika The pita-like sandwich, which was said to have followed a traditional African recipe, contained beef, tomatoes, cheese and salad. 9 McDonald’s and the Olympics When the Olympic Games returned to the US in 1984, McDonald’s ran a campaign to show their confidence in the US Olympic Team. Customers were given scratch cards with Olympic medals events printed on them. These entitled them, to a free Big Mac, fries or Coke whenever the US won any medal. US athletes ended up winning 174 medals, 83 of them gold. The McDonald’s promotion ended up being extremely costly and thousands of establishments even started running out of Big Macs. 8 Maggots Inside Big Mac In March 2011, Melbourne resident Leigh Savage ordered a Big Mac, he opened the sandwich to check if it included the extra pickles he’d ordered. The pickles were there, but there were also tens of maggots crawling around the patties. Savage reported the incident to the police, but they couldn’t help. According to Savage, when he first informed staff about what had happened, they laughed in his face. 6 Nail Found in Burger 40-year-old Yusuf Bercil took his first bite of a McDonald’s burger from a restaurant in Hisingen, Sweden. A nail, almost half an inch long, had become lodged between his tooth and gum. He managed to pull it out and threw up. 4 McDonald’s Taiwan In 1992, on April 28 and 29 something was planted near or inside seven McDonald’s restaurants in Taiwan. An anonymous phone call demanded $240,000 from Quanti Foods, the McDonald’s operator in Taiwan. The company refused to negotiate and closed all 57 of its restaurants, while an island-wideb search took place. 3 McDonald’s China A group of six people entered a McDonald’s restaurant in Zhaoyuan, Shandong, China, on May 28, 2014. Claiming to be missionaries, they presented their message and then asked for customers’ telephone number for future contacts. Wu Shuoyan, a salesgirl from a clothing store nearby was inside the McDonald’s at the time. 2 Sydney River McDonald’s On May 7, 1992, 18-year-old Derek Wood went the McDonald’s he was working at in Sydney River, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was accompanied by two of his friends, Darren Muise, 18, who wore a Halloween mask and 23-year-old Freeman Daniel MacNeil. 1 San Ysidro McDonald’s ‘Society had its chance. I’m going hunting.’ This was the last thing that James Huberty told his wife Etna before leaving the apartment they shared with their two children on July 18, 1984. That afternoon he entered a McDonald’s near his home in San Ysidro, California. Views: 80354 They will Kill You 01:22:30 Lecture 6 of my Quantum Theory course at McGill University, Fall 2012. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 5. Kevin Poulsen In the early 1980’s, Kevin Poulsen, then only 17, hacked the US Department of Defense’s Arpanet before the internet was around. He was not prosecuted for this but he was just getting started. In 1988 when he was suspected of cracking a database on the federal investigation of Ferdinand Marcos he disappeared. While a fugitive, Poulsen would hack federal computers and reveal details of wiretaps on criminals. He also did some hacking for self gain. He and a friend hacked the phone lines to radio station KIIS-FM, ensuring they would be the lucky callers to win prizes. They ended up with two new Porsches,$20,000 and two vacations to Hawaii. He was captured shortly after he was featured on Unsolved Mysteries in 1991, when he was recognized while shopping in a supermarket. He served 5 years in jail and was ordered not to touch a computer for 3 more years after his release. After this he seems to have cleaned up his act, becoming a contributing editor to Wired magazine and writing a book entitled Kingpin. 4. The FBI arrested 25 year old Cody Kretsinger in late 2011 for his role in hacking computer systems at Sony Pictures Entertainment. The breach gave the hacker, who worked with the hacker group LulzSec, access to a database of customer details. The intrusion cost the company more than 600 thousand dollars in damages. Kretsinger was ordered to do a year of jail time and, upon his release, to serve home detention and perform one thousand hours of community service. 3. Vladimir Levin This Russian hacker accessed the Citibank network and stole over ten million dollars from different accounts in 1994. Levin did all of this over a 5 month period and made about 40 transfers to gain the ten million dollars. He accomplished this while also working as head systems operator at a Russian software company. The man was eventually tracked down and arrested in the U.K. and spent three years in prison in the United States after being extradited. He was also ordered to pay Citibank $240,015. Citibank was able to recover all but four hundred thousand dollars of the stolen money, which has yet to be found to this day. 2. Edward Snowden A former National Security Agency subcontractor, Edward Snowden is currently in asylum in Russia due to the fact that he leaked top secret information about NSA surveillance activities. While working as a subcontractor he noticed how far reaching the NSA’s everyday intelligence was and found it to be unfair and a violation of people’s privacy. Snowden gathered information for years and leaked it after taking a leave of absence from his job and flying to Hong Kong. Knowing that there would be backlash from the U.S. government (they charged him with two crimes under the Espionage Act) Snowden made his way to Ecuador for asylum but was stopped at a layover in Russia when his passport was annulled by the American government. He remains in Russia to this day and views himself, as many others do, as a patriot looking out for Americas best interests. 1. Gary Mckinnon This British hacker named most dangerous in the world once managed to hack into the Pentagon database and leave the message “Your security is crap”. Between 2001 and 2002 he repeatedly hacked US military and NASA computers from his home base in London, deleting files and changing passwords. At one point he induced a 24-hour shutdown and caused munitions trucks to be stopped. He also left an anti-American message: “US foreign policy is akin to Government-sponsored terrorism these days … It was not a mistake that there was a huge security stand down on September 11 last year … I am SOLO. I will continue to disrupt at the highest levels.” The U.S. tried to extradite Mckinnon for years, but the U.K. hacker won the extradition battle in 2012. With such ability and a seemingly anti United States stance, it is no wonder Mckinnon is considered so dangerous to the safety of this country. The Aquilion ONE/ ViSION Edition distinguishes itself with a faster rotation speed of just 0.275 seconds which is applicable for all routine applications. A wider 78 cm gantry bore improves patient comfort and access. In combination with AIDR 3D, the ViSION Edition provides fast and robust low dose imaging for all patient examinations with negligible impact of reconstruction time. The 16cm z-axis coverage allows entire organs such as the heart to be imaged in just one rotation. The ViSION Edition also introduces 3D CT Fluoroscopy, allowing the physician to visualize complicated interventional procedures in multiple planes for greater ease and improved safety. Save time and storage space with Toshiba's Hybrid View reconstruction kernels. These newly introduced iterative reconstruction algorithms provide sharp lungs and excellent soft tissue resolution in the one image. Reading times are shortened as you only need to concentrate on a single series to make a definitive diagnosis. SURESubtraction is a revolutionary subtraction technique providing pixel perfect bone removal in neuro, carotid and orthopedic applications. The sophisticated non-rigid position matching technology provides highly accurate CT DSA studies increasing diagnostic confidence. This technology is set to change the way physicians perform and read CTA studies. Toshiba's patented hybrid drive converts energy during deceleration of the gantry and generates electricity that is recycled to power gantry components. A thoughtful design feature minimizes power consumption and reduces carbon footprint. New generation Aquilion PRIME 80 and 160 slices The new generation Aquilion PRIME, available in 80 and 160 slice configurations is being showcased for the first time at this year's ECR. The Aquilion PRIME series features the Quantum detector with 80 rows of 0.5mm elements, providing high quality isotropic images for all patient examinations. The new Aquilion PRIME is smaller in size and footprint permitting installation in even the smallest rooms. The PRIME gantry is also significantly quieter due to an adaptive cooling system which minimizes heat dissipation by up to 50% and overall energy consumption has been dramatically reduced saving running costs. AIDR 3D, iterative reconstruction, has been implemented for all clinical applications providing optimal dose saving, including advanced applications such as Shuttle Brain Perfusion, Dual Energy and 3D CT Fluoroscopy. Reconstruction speeds with AIDR 3D, can be up to 60 images per second on the new PRIME. The new Aquilion PRIME also includes InstaView reconstruction technology, providing near-instant display and review of full resolution images. High quality real-time image review is perfectly suited for the emergency patient, where every second to diagnosis counts. "We were looking for a scanner that was future-proofed for up to 10 years. We have found that with the Aquilion PRIME.", said Mr. Nigel Lewis, Clinical Service Manager, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. "The small footprint combined with its large diameter gantry bore was attractive. Additionally, the applications packages like InstaView and HybridView with fast reconstruction are easily integrated with our protocols and workflows. We couldn't compare it with anything else as it is the highest spec helical CT scanner available. Aquilion PRIME will enable us to carry out higher throughputs of work across a wider range and variety of disease states." Astelion series (WIP) The 16 slice Astelion series CT systems represent Toshiba's ongoing commitment towards your patients well being and a cleaner and greener environment. AIDR 3D iterative reconstruction found in Toshiba's premium level CT systems is included as a standard feature on Astelion. Dose reduction of up to 75% is available for all clinical scans making CT examinations safer for all patients. The design of the Astelion's electrical systems minimizes heat dissipation and an innovative standby mode reduces the use of cooling fans. As a result, power consumption is reduced when the system is idle contributing to the well being of the environment. A wide range of advanced clinical applications make this scanner a powerful workhorse. Simplified operation with Navi mode is incredible for guiding novice operators through every step of an examination. Examinations can be performed with confidence in any location at anytime of the day and night. 08:01 Thanks to all of you who support me on Patreon. Fractional laser resurfacing devices deliver very narrow columns of heat into the skin whilst sparing the intervening skin between the pinpoint injuries. This enables skin to heal faster than with co2 or erbium lasers. Fractional laser can be sub classified into non-ablative and ablative. Non-ablative lasers leave the tissue intact, with an injury that is subsequently removed and repaired by the body. Fraxel, Pixel, Portrait, Picosure Focus and Fractora are some examples of non-ablative fractional lasers. On the other hand, Fractional ablative lasers, such as Erbium Yag and CO2 result in complete vaporization of the tissue collumns resulting in a microscopic “Swiss cheese” type appearance of holes within the skin. What is the difference between fully ablative lasers and fractional lasers? Unlike fully ablative lasers, fractional laser resurfacing, as the name suggests, only treats a fraction of the skin. The percentage of the skin’s surface treated can typically vary from 2% to 95%, depending on the device and number of passes. Depth of the column of laser injury can also be controlled by the operator. What is the science behind fractional laser resurfacing? In the context of laser resurfacing, skin contains two layers- the epidermis or outer layer, and the dermis or mid layer. The outer layer of skin produces pigment producing cells called melanocytes, and scale forming skin cells known as keratinocytes. Aging and sun damage gives rise to abnormal keratinocytes and uneven pigmentation derived from melanocytes. The dermis provides the scaffolding for skin and is largely made up of collagen, elastin and blood vessels. Traumatic, acne and burn scars may cause an abnormality of the ordered arrangement of collagen. Additionally sun damage can alter the consistency of the dermis, fragmenting collagen and elastin. Depending on the wavelength, fractional lasers can primarily target the outer layer of the skin, or the deeper layers. The amazing thing about fractional resurfacing is the fact that even though only a fraction of the skin has been treated – the appearances are those of an even improvement. When do I prefer to use fractional laser resurfacing? Fractional lasers can treat the following dermatological conditions- • Acne scars. Both non-ablative fractional lasers and ablative fractional lasers have been shown to be effective in acne scars, especially in the treatment of rolling, atrophic , and box car scars. Fractional lasers have significant advantages over fully ablative lasers especially in regards to decreasing downtime, and side effects such as post laser skin colour changes- frequently seen in fully ablative lasers. • Surgical, traumatic and burn scars • Skin rejuvenation • Sun damage and sun spots • Melasma (as a last resort in carefully selected cases) How long does it take to heal from fractional laser resurfacing? Healing times vary according to the wavelength, power, and percentage of skin treated. Ablative fractional lasers have the longer healing time compared to non-ablative lasers. As a guide, recovery from fractional laser resurfacing takes- For Non-ablative • 3-7 days for treatments on the face • 5-10 days for treatments on the neck, chest, or limbs For Ablative • 10 – 14 days face • 14 days or more for other areas. What types of lasers are used for fractional laser resurfacing? There are many brands of fractional lasers, however resurfacing can be broadly divided into ablative and non-ablative. Ablative fractional lasers penetrate the upper layers of your skin called the stratum corneum. These lasers include erbium and CO2. Non-ablative fractional lasers leave the upper layers of skin intact. Currently there are over a dozen different wavelengths that are in use in Australia. How many sessions of fractional laser resurfacing will I need? Unlike fully ablative laser resurfacing, fractional laser resurfacing will often require several treatment sessions for the best results. Depending on the skin condition and your skin type, you may require between 2-5 treatments spaced between 6-8 weeks apart for best outcomes. http://www.contextures.com/xlfunctions04.html In Excel 2007 and Excel 2010, you can use the new COUNTIFS function to count items using multiple criteria. For example, count the orders where a pen is the item ordered, and the quantity is greater than or equal to 10. This video shows the steps for using the COUNTIFS function, and using cell references instead of hard coded values. TRANSCRIPT for Excel COUNTIFS Count With Multiple Criteria In Excel you can count using criteria with the COUNTIF function. In later versions of Excel (2007 and later) you can count multiple criteria with the COUNTIFS function. So here we have a list of items that we've sold and the quantity for each. We would like to find the number of orders where a pen was the item sold and the quantity is greater than 10. So in this cell I'm going to start with an equal sign and then type COUNTIFS an open bracket and the first thing I'm going to check is the item that was sold. The range, first range is A2:A10. Then I'll type a comma and the criteria for that range I'm just going to type in here inside double quotes pen, and then another comma. That's the first thing we're going to check, is what item was sold. Next will be the quantity so I'll select the range that has the quantities, another comma and we want quantity greater than or equal to 10 so within double quotes I'll do a greater than symbol, equal, and a 10, then another double quote Close the bracket and press Enter. There were two orders for pen where the quantity is greater than 10. Instead of typing these criteria in here I can refer to a cell. So instead of typing pen inside double quotes, I could click on a cell where I have typed the word pen. The same for this criteria for the quantity I'm going to take out the 10 just by deleting that, leaving the operators within the double quotes. Then I'll type an ampersand and the cell that has the number. So this is greater than or equal to whatever number is in cell E3. When I press ENTER I get the same result. It's just easier to change. Then I could type a 5 here now, and we see that there were 4 orders where the quantity is greater than or equal to 5 instead of the 10 that we had in there before. So this formula is much more flexible if you use cell references, rather than typing the values in as hard-coded values.
